The East Coast is unique in Canada for its Acadian forests. It also boasts rich coastal habitats, including estuaries and salt marshes, open rocky barrens, bogs, islands and eel-grass beds. The area’s marine habitats are renowned for their richness and abundance of seabirds, marine mammals and fishes.
NCC is working to protect habitat for several species at risk that depend on this landscape for survival, including Newfoundland pine marten and piping plover.
By symbolically adopting a piece of East Coast habitat, you are helping the Nature Conservancy of Canada ensure that our country’s natural spaces, and the species they sustain, are protected.
How many acres would you like to adopt?
